Air Compressor Noise Control
Apr03,23
Air compressor noise control mainly adopts three aspects: muffler, muffler tunnel and sound insulation
1. Install the muffler
The main noise sources are the intake and exhaust ports, and appropriate intake and exhaust mufflers should be selected. The spectrum of air compressor intake noise has low frequency characteristics, and the intake muffler should use a resistant structure or an impedance composite structure based on individual and resistance. The exhaust pressure of the air compressor is large and the air velocity is high, so a small-hole muffler should be used at the exhaust port of the air compressor.
2. Set up anechoic tunnel
The underground or semi-underground tunnel of the anechoic tunnel, the tunnel wall is made of bricks with good sound absorption. Connect the intake pipe of the air compressor to the silencing tunnel, so that the air enters the air compressor through the silencing tunnel. The use of the muffler tunnel can greatly reduce the intake noise of the air compressor, and the service life is longer than that of ordinary mufflers.
3. Build a soundproof enclosure
After installing a muffler or setting up a muffler tunnel at the inlet and outlet of the air compressor, the airflow noise can be reduced to below 80db(a), but the mechanical noise and motor noise of the air compressor are still very high, so it should also be installed in the air compressor. Install the sound insulation cover on the unit of the machine.
4. Suspension space sound absorbing.
